Palace Monaldeschi
At the foot of the majestic Rocca Monaldeschi della Cervara, nestled in the heart of the picturesque historic center of Bolsena, stands Palazzo Monaldeschi.

This elegant building is an architectural jewel linked to one of the most powerful families in the area, and a stop for those who wish to explore the soul, the archaeology, and the traditions of our lake basin.
The first floor of the Palace is a true journey through time across the depths of our lake. Here, a fascinating section dedicated to underwater archaeology houses the wrecks that have resurfaced from the waters.
The artifacts on display cover millennia of history: from the Bronze Age to the fascinating and dramatic testimonies of the last world conflict, including the remains of a bomber that crashed in 1944.
An exhibition area is exquisitely dedicated to the Ars Wetana, the renowned and refined tradition of Orvieto lacemaking, which bears witness to the mastery and patience of the weavers of our region
