A concert of great sonic evocativeness featuring the Brass Ensemble of the Orchestra Europa Musica, accompanied by solo voices, the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio Choir and the Istituzione Corale Romana directed by Maestro Renzo Renzi.
A musical journey that traverses centuries and styles, in a continuous dialogue between the luminous power of brass and the purity of choral voices. The program alternates pages for a cappella choir, pieces arranged for brass quintet and moments of symphonic impact with the full ensemble. Among these stands out the majestic “Te Deum” by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, one of the most celebrated compositions of the French Baroque, which has become an emblem of solemnity and triumph. Its overture, immortalized as the theme music for Eurovision broadcasts, is a hymn to light and divine glory, which in this concert comes alive in the brilliant sonority of brass and the majestic chorus of voices. Completing the journey, a mosaic of musical genres ranging from sacred to secular, from classical to contemporary, up to traditional Christmas pieces, re-presented in refined original arrangements. A concert that combines energy, emotion and spirituality, offering the audience an enveloping and festive sonic experience, ideal for the Christmas atmosphere.
The performances are made possible also thanks to contributions from FUS MIC, Directorate General for Live Performance.
