The Orchestra Scarlatti Young represents the young and vital heart of the Community of Scarlatti Orchestras, born around the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti of Naples under the educational and musical coordination of Maestro Gaetano Russo. Composed of talented instrumentalists between 18 and 30 years old, selected from among the best elements of the Scarlatti Junior, the orchestra has rapidly established itself in Italy and abroad. It has participated as a guest at the Les Orchestrales international festival in Marseille, collaborated with masters such as Simone Bernardini (Berliner Philharmoniker) and Patrick De Ritis (Wiener Symphoniker), and has been featured in prestigious series between Modena, Naples and the Baroque Music Festival of the Teatro San Carlo Foundation.
Alongside them, an exceptional soloist: Ilya Grubert, world-renowned violinist, winner of the Paganini Competition (1977) and the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (1978), trained under Yuri Yankelevich and Leonid Kogan. His career has taken him to the most prestigious stages, from the Staatskapelle Dresden to the Rotterdam Philharmonic, collaborating with conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Gennady Rozhdestvensky and Maxim Shostakovich. Today a professor at the Amsterdam Conservatory, Grubert combines the great Russian violin tradition with unparalleled international experience.
The encounter between the youthful energy of the Orchestra Scarlatti Young and the mature artistry of Ilya Grubert promises a concert of extraordinary intensity and beauty. Conducted by Stefano Pagliani.
