Directly from Missouri, Cedric Shannon Rives is one of the most appreciated voices of American gospel, a complete artist capable of combining singing, composition and musical theater. From a very young age he showed extraordinary talent: at 9 already a soloist and at 11 his first concert with an orchestra. Trained at the prestigious Central Visual and Performing Arts High School in St. Louis, he graduated in music and theater, specializing in jazz and musicals.
His intense and charismatic voice transmits spiritual energy and profound participation, transforming each concert into a unique experience of sharing. After the success of his albums Psalms of Deliverance and Bow Down, Cedric has graced American stages in successful musicals and in 2001 began a long European career, also singing for Pope John Paul II on the occasion of the Vatican Concert.
Today he is touring Italy with The Unlimited Praise Gospel Singers, an ensemble that brings together some of the best gospel voices from the United States. Their powerful and engaging repertoire blends spiritual tradition and modernity, conveying joy, hope and passion.
