A journey into the heart of piano Romanticism: this is what Antonio Di Cristofano will offer the audience, an internationally renowned artist, applauded in the world’s most prestigious concert halls, from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Musikverein in Vienna.
The recital, entirely dedicated to Chopin and his contemporaries, will be an immersion in the poetry, nostalgia and visionary power of a musical season that made the piano its instrument of choice. Through some of the most intense pages of the repertoire, Di Cristofano will convey Chopin’s lyricism, the vibrant passion of his contemporaries, and that nocturnal and intimate atmosphere that Romanticism has bequeathed to eternity.
A pupil of Maestro Antonio Bacchelli and refined under Massimiliano Damerini, Di Cristofano has graced stages such as the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the Smetana Hall in Prague, the Gasteig in Munich, the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, the City Hall in Hong Kong, collaborating with conductors and orchestras of absolute international prestige. After his successes with the Wiener Mozart Orchestra and the Orchestra della Scala di Milano, the Tuscan pianist brings to Bolsena a program that celebrates the evocative power of Romanticism, making the piano vibrate between poetic delicacy and heroic momentum.
